A two-day process-based collective research with Michèle Boulogne and Gleb Maiboroda and a guest talk by the TuYo Foundation (Inês Paiva Vilar de Queirós, Gabina Valentín López). Build your own loom and take it home!
This two-day workshop uses the practice of hand weaving to explore technology and cycles. Attendees start with movement exercises before building their own backstrap looms and sharing time on a central frame. The TuYo Foundation will introduce their work through a live demonstration and group discussion. Together, participants talk through personal textile memories, older technologies, workplace automation, and ethics. The discussions and reflection are led by artists and researchers Gleb Maiboroda and Michèle Boulogne.
