On Wednesday 22nd we welcome you to the first Sandberg Research event In Search of Lost Time, hosted by Gabrielle Kennedy. During the sympsium, invited guests Thierry Geoffroy and Toby Sterling alongside alumni David Womack, Johan Deletang, Andrea Gonzalez, Juliette Lépineau, Simpson Tse and Jelia Veldeman will present their research in order to explore the meaning of time in art and journalism. The symposium takes place at Theory Stairs at 4pm.
On Thursday 23rd, artist Thierry Geoffroy will give a workshop, introducing participants to the theories behind “Ultracontemporary”, his practice and stimulate ways to think about emergency art - to create, exhibit and debate it in the NOW. 1pm to 4pm at FedLev building 101.

Thierry Geoffroy (1961), also known as Colonel, is a Danish-French artist, living in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a Conceptual artist using a wide variety of media including video and installations, often collaborative with other artists.

I am a visual artist whose output revolves around the matter of the consciousness. Often I create images whereby the interconnected play of light and shadow, bodily gestures, the deconstruction of cinematic language and the use of material dissonances act as a direct catalyst to probe under the surface of individual identities.
