A publication on the value of artistic practices for social issues
A publication on the value of artistic practices for social issues
Fortunately, the unique power of artistic practices and creative methods is increasingly being used to promote social change. And attention to these approaches is also growing in national research agendas. But how can we really apply these methods to find solutions to the big problems of our time? And how do open and reflective ways of working with artistic approaches fit with policy plans that often focus on productivity, efficiency and results?
On March 3, the Centre of Expertise Creative Innovation (CoECI) presents Testing the Waters: the value of artistic practices for social tasks. This publication aims to open the discussion on how to integrate artistic methods into research and innovation agendas, without losing the unique qualities of artistic methods.

We will talk with Martijn de Waal, co-author of the publication, and dive into a carousel of inspiring research projects that have been given a place in it. A panel discussion offers depth and highlights the subject from different angles.
