Enrique A. Gutiérrez (they/them) is a Mexican-born new media artist whose work involves a multidisciplinary approach to reshape people's perceptions around technology, creativity and post-colonialism. They are currently working in Amsterdam and working in prototyping, new media, and creating technological tools for artistic expression for the last 8 years.
One of their goals is to teach other creatives how to incorporate new media into their existing artistic practices, emphasizing the importance of utilizing technology to create new ways of expression and broaden people's understanding of post-colonialism and ex-colonized cultures. By doing so, they hope to inspire others to explore new and innovative ways to create art that can provoke meaningful discussions and change perceptions.
Their recent work has been focused on creating artwork that addresses discrimination against individuals with native heritage around the world.
