Yana Khazanovic

Yana Khazanovich is an videographer, cinematographer and artist. She studied at the Audio-visual department (VAV) of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie (2023).
Alongside her client work, she maintains an active artistic practice focused on documentary filmmaking and mixed-media art. In her work, she explores themes of belonging, migration, displacement, and family relationships, often returning to questions of identity, memory, and home. Documentary filmmaking allows her to observe people and situations closely. This long-term engagement with people and events sharpened her eye behind the camera, allowing her to notice and capture small gestures and moments whether working on commissioned projects or personal art films.
